Episode #24 with Denise Hughes
Digging Deep: How to Dive into God’s Life Giving Word
Everyone knows that the key to a fruitful life in Christ starts with getting into the Word. However, it's really easy to stare at that big Book and not know where to start. I'm a total Bible nerd, yet, I sometimes struggle to figure out what I want to study next.
Most of you know I'm a big fan of Denise Hughes's Word Writer Bible study series. It's so perfect for busy moms! Denise and I first met two years ago at a writer's luncheon. Today, I have the privilege of “introducing” you to her. We're going to be talking about her Bible study series and her new book Deeper Waters: Immersed in Life-Changing Truths of God. Denise has such a great story to tell about how God emptied her out and filled her up again. I know you will be encouraged in your own walk with the Lord.
I cannot wait for you to hear this episode!
On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note…
Denise says instead of everyone rushing around on Sunday mornings looking for where they last left their Bibles, she has a basket on their fireplace hearth that she keeps everyone's Bible—perfect for after dinner when they gather for family Bible time.
Denise is also a believer of keeping everything simple. If they don't need something, or don't use it regularly, she's more than happy to donate it.

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. —Matthew 7:24-27
