What Crockpot Do I Use?
Here's my favorite crockpot! Our fancy, programable 6 qt. crockpot broke last year. I search and tried to find an 8 qt replacement. I actually sent back two different crockpots that I'd ordered. Their lids did not seem to fit the pot properly and too much of the liquid would evaporate during the cooking time. Not good. I finally found this Hamilton Beach 8 qt. crockpot. I love it! It's not fancy, but it's affordable and does the job! I love that it is 8 quarts. I can finally fit large roasts in it, and lots of liquid if needed. The “pot” itself is removable for easy cleaning, too!
FREEZER MEALS!
Crock pots and freezer meals have seen me through some hard times {morning sickness and major surgery} — and helped me prepare for happy times {like a new baby}! They are my secret weapons to meal planning and getting dinner on the table. In fact, they have their own chapter in my book, Sanity Savers for Moms. (If you don't already have a copy of my book, I'd love to get a copy to you. Just click here for details.)
One of the books I have on my recipe shelf is my friend, Jessica Fisher's Not Your Mother's Make-Ahead and Freeze Cookbook. It's filled with great recipes and tips on how to create freezer meals. Yum!
My friend, Erin Chase, has an awesome new program for creating easy freezer meals called “MyFreezEasy.” Be sure to check it out if you are looking to simplify your freezer meals: HERE. She has some great resources — including a new course on how to use an Instapot. Have you heard of them? It's an electric pressure cooker. Crazy. I'm totally new to them. They are apparently AMAZING! I plan to check out Erin's course to learn more about them.
I wanted to print out your weekly planner and I have subscribed to your newsletters, how can I print off a few useful tools that would help me?
Hi Denise!
Thanks for subscribing! Once you subscribe, you should have received an email that asked you to confirm your subscription. Once you confirm, you receive an email with a link to the weekly planner. From there you just click on it and then print it. I personally print 10 at a time and just keep them in my kitchen so they are ready to go when I need to meal plan. Let me know if you have problems from there. 🙂 The weekly planner comes to you as a PDF. So, you would print it off your computer like any other PDF. Hope you love it! Blessings! Kristi
I received my first email…but not the email with the weekly planner in it. It’s not in my spam folder either. What am I doing wrong or can it be resent? Thanks
Somehow I missed seeing this. Sorry about that. I’ll send it to you right now. I put all my freebies at the bottom of each newsletter I send out. So, the planners are always on there. 🙂 Thanks for your comment below, too!! I’m so excited for you to get started with homeschooling!! Congrats!!
Also…LOVE YOUR CHANNEL & WEBSITE!!! In part because of your advice, I finally had the courage to pull my son out of public school to start homeschooled! (In the middle of the year too!) Thanks for the advice and incouragment. Jennifer
I received the email to confirm the subscription but I think I might have accidentally deleted the link for the weekly planner. Can it be resent? Hazel
Hi there! I just sent it off to you! 🙂
I got it, Thanks!! Just came across your blog this week and I’m loving it! Really love the homeschool organization ideas, planning to use several of them next year 🙂
